SunCap bought about 63 acres at the southwest corner of McQueen and Elliot in 2014 for the park. The final building is a 101,000-square-foot speculative industrial building scheduled to deliver in the second quarter of 2027. Buildings here use painted concrete walls in Southwest earth tones with glass and steel accents. Landscapes around that kind of building are simple, and that's the point. Simple only looks good when it's kept up.

Industrial landscapes have their own trouble spots. Truck courts and dock aprons collect trash and windblown debris. Shrubs near drive aisles get clipped by trailers. Drip lines near docks get crushed. We keep these edges clean, replace damaged emitters and choose tough, low-water plants for spots that take a beating. Owners outside the park, along Elliot and McQueen, deal with the same issues, plus heat bouncing off big walls and parking lots.

The park sits inside the Northwest Gilbert redevelopment boundary, a few miles from our yard on East Baseline Road.
