Old Town Scottsdale Commercial Landscaping
Old Town is Scottsdale's walkable downtown: restaurants, galleries, nightlife, hotels and a growing number of apartments packed into about a square mile. Landscapes here get seen up close, day and night. Pro Turf keeps commercial sites in Old Town tidy, shaded and watered without getting in the way of your guests.
Nine districts, one very busy square mile
Also known as: Old Town, Downtown Scottsdale
Old Town has more than 100 galleries. Your planters shouldn't look like modern art by accident.
The City says Old Town is generally bounded by Chaparral Road, Earll Drive, 68th Street and Miller Road, and its character area plan dates back to 1984 with a 2024 update. Experience Scottsdale splits it into nine districts, including the Civic Center, the Waterfront and Southbridge along the Arizona Canal, the Entertainment District and the Fifth Avenue shops. Each one has its own rhythm, and we plan visits to match it. A gallery on Main Street and a club in the Entertainment District need very different visit times.
In practice that means blowers and trimmers early, before patios fill, and never next to a busy brunch. Thursday nights bring ArtWalk on Main Street and Marshall Way, a tradition since 1975, so gallery fronts should look their best that afternoon. We lift tree canopies over sidewalks, keep drip in raised planters dialed in so water doesn't sheet across walkways, and pick up our own mess before we go. Small sites and tight alleys? We plan the truck parking before we show up.
Shade is a big deal downtown. Scottsdale adopted a Shade & Tree Plan in May 2026 that treats trees and shade as infrastructure, with its own section on Old Town. Healthy canopy starts with good pruning and deep, slow watering, not heavy cuts every summer. If you are replacing tired plants or tearing out old grass, ask us to check Scottsdale Water rebates first, since the City requires approval before work starts. We would rather you get that money than lose it to a missed step.

Old Town Scottsdale: common questions
What counts as Old Town Scottsdale?
The City generally bounds it by Chaparral Road on the north, Earll Drive on the south, 68th Street on the west and Miller Road on the east.
Can you work around our restaurant or hotel schedule?
Yes. We agree on quiet windows with you up front and keep noisy work like blowing and trimming out of your busiest hours.
Our trees need shade, but they keep getting hacked back. What should we do?
Switch to regular structural pruning instead of big summer cuts. Scottsdale now treats shade as infrastructure under its 2026 Shade & Tree Plan, and a fuller canopy helps your patio too.
