Landscaping on Mesa's Power Road Corridor

The Power Road Corridor runs northwest of Mesa Gateway Airport, with Gallery Park just south of the Loop 202 and Cannon Beach at Warner Road. The city describes it as a mix of destination retail, hospitality, lifestyle and industrial development. Pro Turf maintains landscapes for the hotels, retail centers, restaurants and residential communities here, where nearly everything is new and highly visible.

Power Road Corridor, Mesa

First impressions at 95,700 cars a day

Also known as: Gallery Park, Cannon Beach

There's a surf park in the Mesa desert now. Your entry planters can be the low-key part of the trip.

The City of Mesa counts about 95,700 vehicles a day at Loop 202 and Power Road and 47,000 at Ray and Power. That's a lot of people judging your frontage on the way past. Along this corridor the landscape is part of the sign: full shrubs, healthy trees, clean granite and no dead plants by the monument. New landscapes also need extra irrigation attention in their first few summers, while roots are still getting established.

Gallery Park's first phase includes two hotels, a Tempo by Hilton and a Homewood Suites, that the city expected to open in fall 2026, with mixed-use residential planned next. Cannon Beach has a surf park and two hotels planned. Hotels and restaurants get evaluated after dark too, so we pair landscape maintenance with exterior lighting checks, and keep entries, patios and drop-off areas ready for guests every day, including weekends. Seasonal color at the front door is optional, but guests notice.

New corridors also have plenty of empty pads. Maricopa County expects dust control on disturbed vacant lots left unused for more than 15 days, and weeds on a vacant pad next to a new hotel don't help anyone. We keep pads mowed down and stabilized until they're built, using mowers and string trimmers so routine weed control doesn't trigger a county dust permit. When construction finally starts, the lot hands over clean.

FAQ

Power Road Corridor: common questions

Is Gallery Park part of the Power Road Corridor?

Yes. Gallery Park, just south of the Loop 202, and Cannon Beach at Warner Road are two of the main developments the City of Mesa highlights along the corridor.

Can you maintain a hotel landscape so it looks good day and night?

Yes. We combine scheduled landscape maintenance with exterior lighting checks and repairs, so entries, patios and walkways look finished after dark too.

Can you maintain vacant pads until they're developed?

Yes. We control weeds with mowers and string trimmers and keep the soil stable, since Maricopa County expects dust control on disturbed lots that sit unused for more than 15 days.
